Why outpatient can cost less
In 2007 FCCI opened the first freestanding outpatient cardiac and peripheral vascular cath lab in Jacksonville. FCCI says offering procedures outside the hospital reduces out-of-pocket costs for patients and gives them a comfortable, convenient setting. Its Amputation Prevention Center describes its outpatient lab as offering high-quality care at a lower cost.
Exact costs depend on your plan, your deductible and the tests or procedures you need. FCCI also has a self-pay fee schedule. Call 904.493.3333 for numbers specific to you.
When the cost of your care leads to a procedure, FCCI's outpatient setting matters. The practice was first in the region to offer it, citing lower out-of-pocket costs and a more convenient experience. Jacksonville's lab opened in 2007 and Palatka's in 2016, and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accredits both.
